Chapter 1 / Arm Yourselves
I know that my mind grasps the reality that we are born into and live all of our days in a world at war. I also know that it is still the exception when I actually live my life from this perspective. Most of the time I make decisions without thinking about what is really happening, the unseen, and how I am being opposed. I react and live primarily from my mind and convince myself or listen to the voice of the enemy that reason (actually my will) is what I need to guide me. I don't think I'm alone in this. This is why I think that a very important question for myself and every man is as follows. Why do we not want to believe that we are born into and live all of our lives in a world at war? The answers for each of us will have common threads, but will also lead us to the unique lies that we have made agreements with. Lies that prevent us from arming ourselves.
Chapter 2 / The Eyes of the Heart
In those moments when I do escape the "Matrix", and realize that there is an enemy who is constantly acting to steal, kill, and destroy the life that God intends for me, how do I see what is really happening? What does it mean to see with the Eyes of The Heart, and what did Paul mean when he urged us to fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen?
Chapter 3 / The Heart of All Things
Once again, in my mind, I think I know what the answer is. That is to say I know the correct response to the question. I just don't live the answer. If I did, the fog that usually surrounds me would burn away, and truth and clarity would be my companions. I think a lot of us feel this way. We need a place to start. Hence, I will ask this question. What is the heart, and why is it central to the life that Christ came to Earth to give us?
