The MapWhere we are now and where we want to go!What we have found with men is that their life’s priority and order can look something like this.
David said “I run in your paths Lord because you have set my heart free”. It is our understanding that in order to follow this Wild God we must have free hearts. We must have free hearts in order to take the adventure and endure the risks of journey He is calling us to. In order to run with the Lord, this is what we are saying. You have to take care of your own heart first. This is where we would like to go
Living in the world such as it is today, we are often driven to succeed and we feel the way to accomplish this is to increase our holdings and with that comes a certain respect from the community. At Expeditions we believe work is ordained by God but it should not be first and the world values should not be our values. Duty and performance can be so ingrained in men that it is a real battle to simply open up the idea putting your own heart first. Often in institutionalized religion for all the good it truly wants to accomplish, misses the heart of a man. A Catholic priest Joseph Martos wrote “the message men often here is to “pray, pay, and obey.” This can further keep a man under a covenant of performance. Paul says in Romans 6:14 “For sin shall not be master over you, for you are not under law, but under grace. It is this transaction in the heart of a man that is so critical. The transition from performance to Grace. In order to for this to happen one must abide in the God. We must give the Lord permission to Father our hearts. We must hear His voice and let it bring order out of the chaos of our lives. This brings us back to the reason for this year. To learn to walk with God, this is what is means to be a disciple.
